# Getting Started With Insights Hub

### Getting Started With Insights Hub

Insights Hub is your dashboard for tracking sustainability data across your supply chain. The dashboard shows key numbers, where your facilities perform well or poorly, and the initiatives facilities can take next.

Insights Hub uses two types of Higg assessment data that facilities share with you:

- **Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM) -** Data powers the environmental dashboards: Decarbonization, Environmental Baseline, Water Use Reduction, and Waste Reduction and Circularity.
    - Foundational Environmental Performance (FEP) data is included on the Environmental Baseline dashboard.
- **Higg Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM) -** Data powers the Social Baseline dashboard, which shows social risk across your facilities.

### How to Open Insights Hub

1. In the top navigation bar, click **Insights \> Insights Hub**.

### Insights Hub Dashboard

Every dashboard has four parts:

- **Filters** - Use filters to narrow your analysis.
- **Key performance indicator (KPI) cards** - Each card shows one headline number, such as total emissions or carbon intensity.
- **Hotspots** - Hotspots are charts and tables that show where impact is concentrated, by country, facility type, tag, and other groupings.
- **Initiatives** - Initiatives are steps facilities can take or report on, such as having an energy audit or a phase-out plan.

Each dashboard also has these features:

- The top of the dashboard shows the number of facilities in the current view. The number is smaller than your total number of facilities when outliers are excluded.
- Click a facility ID in any tableto open the facility profile, which shows the assessment history and links to each assessment.
- You can download every chart as an image and every table as a comma-separated values (CSV) file. Download file names include the filters you applied and the date.
- Use the arrows at the bottom of the table to scroll a wide table.
- Column headers use plain words and are translated, including in CSV downloads.

To learn how KPI cards, benchmarks, filters, and initiatives are calculated, see **How Insights Hub Calculates Your Numbers**.

### How to Switch Between Impact Area Dashboards

In the top-left corner, click **Impact Areas** and choose a dashboard. Each impact area has its own KPI cards, hotspots, and initiatives, and its own article:

- How to Read the Decarbonization Dashboard (FEM)
- How to Read the Environmental Baseline Dashboard (FEM)
- How to Read the Water Use Reduction Dashboard (FEM)
- How to Read the Waste Reduction and Circularity Dashboard (FEM)
- How to Read the Social Baseline Dashboard (FSLM)

### How to Set Up Production Allocation

The first time you open the dashboard, a banner asks you to allocate production. Allocation tells Insights Hub how much of a facility's production belongs to you, so the numbers show your share of each facility's impact.

To add or change allocations, click **Manage Production Allocation**. To learn where allocation data comes from and how to enter it, see **Production Volume Allocation Guide for Brands**. After you close the banner, the banner no longer appears on your page.

### How to Check Which Data Is Included

In the left filter column, next to *Data Sources*, click the **i** icon. The Data Sources view shows:

- How many facilities have verified data. To view only verified facilities, use the Verification filter.
- The assessments included in the current year, after outliers are excluded.
- The number of facilities in the current view, which also appears at the top of the dashboard.

**What counts as a data source:** Facilities share their FEM and FSLM assessments with your brand account. Only assessments that facilities share with you appear in Insights Hub.

#### Data Refresh Timing and Available Data Years

- **Refresh** - The dashboard refreshes about every hour. Changes can take up to an hour to appear after you edit tags, segments, or campaigns, allocate production volume, add assessments to a cadence, or receive a new assessment.
- **Data years**  - The dashboard shows FEM 2023, FEM 2024, and FEM 2025 assessments, and FSLM data from 2023 to 2026 based on the posted date. To choose a year, use the Assessment Year filter.

### Who Can Use Insights Hub

Brands, retailers, and manufacturers with a Worldly Platform subscription can use Insights Hub. Facilities with current platform access can also use Insights Hub to view their own data.

### How the Brand View and Facility View Differ

The dashboard looks the same for brands and facilities, but facilities see only their own data. For that reason, facilities see 0% or 100% in the Initiatives column.

### How Filters Change the Dashboard

The left filter column updates every number on the page. Common filters include country, facility type, tier, and tags. Newer filters include Facility Processes (March 2026), Facility Tags (July 2026), and Segments and Campaigns (September 2026). You can combine several filters. Filters do not work across FSLM and FEM dashboards because the data comes from each assessment. To learn which filters change the benchmark and how the production allocation filters behave, see **How Insights Hub Calculates Your Numbers**.

### How to Compare Facilities in Two Countries

The following example compares facilities in China and Bangladesh on the Decarbonization dashboard.

1. In the left filter column, under *Country*, choose **China** and **Bangladesh**.
2. Under *Facility Type*, choose **Final Product Assembly** and **Packaging Production**. The whole dashboard updates.
3. Review the KPI cards.
     - The KPI cards show whether emissions, carbon intensity, and thermal carbon intensity rose or fell compared with last year.
4. Review the hotspots.
     - The hotspots show total emissions by country alongside the number of facilities in each country. The comparison shows whether emissions are high because there are more facilities or because each facility has higher emissions.
5. In the Initiatives column, find the Coal Phaseout initiative.
6. Click the card to open a table that ranks facilities by normalized emissions and shows whether each facility has a phase-out plan.
