How do I start my Higg FSLM on worldly.io?
After registering your account on Worldly.io, you can purchase the Higg FSLM on the subscription page in your account. To get started with the assessment, please navigate to the getting started guidance here.
What functions are available for FSLM on worldly.io?
You can link your SLCP gateway facility ID to start your Higg FSLM module. Once started you will be able to complete, post, share, and request to share your Higg FSLM module with brand partners. You are able to track any shared Higg FSLM modules and import/export the module. You can also submit your completed FSLM for verification if you are located in the SLCP operating countries/areas.
What languages is Higg FSLM available in?
Higg FSLM is currently available in English and Chinese. The other languages will be coming soon. However, please note that all responses within the tool must be completed in English.
What is the deadline for completing Higg FSLM? Is it the same deadline for Higg FEM?
Higg FSLM should be completed once every 12 months. This module is on a “rolling cycle” meaning there is no deadline and the assessment can be completed at any time throughout the year.
When purchasing the FSLM, verification is included in the purchase. Does that mean verification is mandatory?
No, verification is not mandatory. The option to verify your FSLM assessment is included in the FSLM subscription package, but whether you conduct verification is dependent on your own needs and the protocols of the brands you work with.
If my FSLM is completed and verified on another accredited host platform, can I share my FSLM data on worldly.io?
Yes. If you completed your facility social assessment on another accredited host’s platform, you can transfer your assessment to the Worldly platform with the purchase of an FSLM transfer. Review the guidance on how to transfer an FSLM here.
What if my FSLM verification window has expired (2 months after posting the self assessment)?
There is a solution if you have already initiated the verification process. You can contact the Worldly Customer Support team. They will re-open the assessment and the status will change to ASI, then the facility can re-submit and the submission date will be updated and posted again to ASC. After that, the support team extends the verification from the admin panel. Verification will be extended for 7 days, facilities/verifiers need to have the assessment to VRP within 7 days.
What if I purchased the Higg FSLM before the launch of the new CAF, which CAF version will I then complete?
When you start filling out the Higg FSLM before the launch of the new CAF, then you are completing the old CAF assessment within 6 months from the launch date. If you are starting the Higg FSLM after the launch date of the new CAF, then you are completing the new CAF assessment. The date of purchase of the Higg FSLM is irrelevant.
Where can I find information on the newest CAF assessment and updates?
Please see more information about the newest CAF update on the SLCP’s website here.
What is the difference between the Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) and Cascale (formerly called SAC)?
The SLCP is a non-profit multi-stakeholder initiative that aims to eliminate audit fatigue in global supply chains. They provide the tools and system for a high-quality comparable data set on working conditions that can be used by all industry stakeholders. This increases transparency in supply chains, reduces the need for social audits and ultimately allows users to redeploy resources into improving working conditions.
Cascale (formerly called SAC) is a global, non-profit alliance of 300 leading apparel, footwear, and textile brands, retailers, manufacturers, sourcing agents, service providers, trade associations, NGOs and academic institutions. Cascale has developed the FSLM and scoring methodology as part of the Higg Index to measure social and labor conditions in the supply chain for Cascale’s broad network. As of 2018, the FSLM uses the content of the CAF assessment to drive standard convergence in the industry.
Worldly is one of the Accredited Hosts (AH). We are approved by the SLCP to store SLCP assessment data on the platform and provide additional data analytics and sharing services to users such as brands, standard holders, and manufacturers.
Facilities are able to complete a self/joint-assessment and the verification of that assessment through the worldly.io platform. The SLCP’s Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) is available on worldly.io platform and is found through the Higg Facility Social & Labor Module.
Do I need to pay to register on the SLCP gateway?
No. Registration on the SLCP Gateway is free.
What is the difference between this SLCP converged assessment framework and the Higg FSLM?
Since 2018, Cascale has replaced its own proprietary tool Higg Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM) by using the Converged Assessment Framework as the backbone of the updated Higg FSLM.
Cascale believes that the apparel & footwear industry should converge and harmonize efforts through the Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) Converged Assessment Framework in order to reduce the number of social and labor audits. This eliminates audit fatigue, enables data comparison, and frees up resources for improvement programs.
The Social & Labour Convergence Program question sets are incorporated into the updated Higg FSLM and the verification methodology developed by the S&L Convergence Program is now valid for Higg FSLM.
I can't select our preferred FSLM verifying body due to SLCP Gateway language mismatch
In your Gateway profile, you need to select which languages are spoken in the facility, by both management and employees. You need to select the languages from a standardized list of languages. This information is used to match you with a Verifier that has the appropriate language skills. To differentiate between dialects and to ensure inclusivity, this long list is used. Migrant workers, in particular, may sometimes only speak one specific language.
Kindly update your SLCP profile for the language spoken in your facility by doing these steps:
- On your Gateway profile page, click "Select" to select the languages spoken at your facility:
- You can click multiple languages in the list. Please select all the languages spoken in your facility as shown below in the screenshot:
Click the Update Profile button when you have selected all.
If you have already updated the profile in the gateway, you can now log in to the Worldly portal and select your preferred Verifying Body.
If you want to know more about why selecting a language in the gateway is so important, please visit the links:
- Why is the list of languages so extensive in my Gateway profile? How can I select all the languages spoken in my facility?
- Why do we not appear in the list of Verifier Bodies when a facility wants to select us as the Verifier Body (VB)?
