Network
On the Network table, users can create and name a custom filter based on defined attributes. They can also save this custom filter to a catalog of other saved filters that can be accessed at any time. These saved filters are referred to as segments.
To create a new segment, apply at least one filter and click Save as Segment within the filters column.
Enter in the Name and any Notes associated with this segment.
Next, you can indicate whether this is a Dynamic or Static Segment. When saved, this will display a list of factories that align with the type of segment.

Network - Managing Facilities
Facilities can either be located manually, or you can upload a facility list to track in bulk.
1. Search for an Individual Facility
If you don't have a large facility list, or have added a new partner to your supply chain since the last time to imported your list, you can search for an individual facility manually.
- From the Network page click Add Company in the upper right hand corner
- At the top left of the page click Search
- In the box provided enter your search criteria: Company name, Worldly/Higg ID, Location/Address, OS ID, FFC ID, or custom ID. The list will begin to update as you enter information.
-
Locate the facility you wish to add and click on the check box to select then click Add in the upper right hand corner to add the facility to your Network.
2. Upload Facility List
Use the bulk upload function to upload a facility list to track.
From the FDM Network page click the Add Company button in the upper right hand corner. Use the bulk upload feature in FDM to upload up to 1,500 facilities at the same time.
On the upload screen, you can select the blue hyperlink in the screenshot "Download example-import-format.csv" to download a template for importing facilities to the tool. You can also download the file from this help article: Facility Data Manager: Import file template.
2.1 Prepare Your List
Once you've downloaded the CSV file, you'll see a list of fields populating the first row. Each field corresponds to a specific account criteria used to search for account matches when the list is uploaded.
-
Worldly (Higg) ID - The shorter numeric string used as a unique identifier.
- Ex: 138382
-
Account ID - The longer alphanumeric string used as a unique identifier.
- Ex: 3b7027750db4d52e5079a…
TIP
Worldly (Higg) ID or Account ID are the two best ways to find a direct match to a Worldly account. If you know either of these, it is not necessary to include any other fields in the import file. Find these two IDs in previous Higg FEM pages by downloading the Performance CSV from your FEM modules page. This file will show details for accounts that have previously shared their module with you.
-
OAR ID - Formerly known as OS ID, this is a 15-character unique Open Supply Hub ID associated with facility accounts.
- Ex: CN2019067NZ95AM
- Custom Account ID - The custom ID for the matched record (if the account has one).
- Social Credit ID - A unique 18-digit national business registration number issued to all businesses and other entities in China.
- Tax ID - The unique company tax ID.
-
Email - Multiple email addresses are accepted, but must be separated by a semicolon.
- The system will look for matching Worldly account user email addresses.
- If you want to invite non-Worldly users to create an account on the Worldly platform, you must include their email address.
-
Location - For each record where the full address is unknown, try to be as specific as possible. If the street name is unknown, try to at least provide the City and Country.
- The system will look for Worldly accounts that have an address within a 100-meter radius of the location.
- Company Name - The system will search for the exact string provided. For example, if “Company, Inc.” is entered, it will look for that exact string and yield results that contain “Company, Inc.” You must manually review potential matches if an exact match is not found.
- Tags - A label or keyword that can be used to identify, organize, and classify data.
2.2 Upload File
Once you've filled out the CSV file, select the red Select File button.
Next, select Upload File and open the desired file.
Note that the system will not accept CSV files that contain more than 1,500 records (rows of data). It is not mandatory to fill out every column in the spreadsheet with information, however, the more information you upload the higher chance there is of finding a match.
2.3 Map Fields
Once your data has been extracted, you'll be prompted to map fields with destination fields that exist inside Worldly.
Oftentimes it will be a 1:1 match:
Other times you will need to manually map the fields:
Once you've finished mapping the fields, select Continue.
2.4 Resolve Errors
Once the file is uploaded, you may have errors that are indicated by the red and yellow colored cells in the screenshot below:
There are two types of errors:
-
Hard Errors: Indicated by the red cells, these errors mean you cannot submit your data into the Worldly Facility matching process until these get resolved. For example, some common Hard Errors include format errors such as an invalid email address or date format, or duplicate entries resulting in the same entry in two different cells.
-
Soft Errors: Indicated by the yellow cells, these errors mean the inputted value presented is unexpected. You can either choose to fix or leave it. For example, a common Soft Error is when an unexpected value does not match to the other values in the column.
To resolve errors, hover over the red or yellow cell to understand what the error is. Depending on the validation error type, either change the input or delete the cell.
2.5 Leverage Transformations (Optional)
Select the Transform button to leverage the data transformation feature. This enables you to easily transform and clean large amounts of data quickly and effectively.
The Transform feature uses natural language commands (as opposed to coding languages) to transform data.
For example, you can move data from one column to another, change data formatting, delete values, etc.
Click on the bar Describe how you would like to transform your data... to show prompt ideas for how to transform your data. Examples include Extract, Combine, Transform, and Calculate.
2.6 Submit Data and View Upload Results
Once you're satisfied with your data upload, select Submit Data.
You'll know you've successfully submitted your data if you see this message pop up in the platform:
Once you submit your list, the system begins a data validation process and begins matching records from your list to existing Worldly accounts. The processing time is dependent on the size of the list, with larger lists taking a few minutes to load.
Reference your import file as you review the results.
- Green check icon - Direct matches: The facility in your list matched on all the criteria you provided and the account shown below most likely the correct account for the facility.
- Yellow question mark icon - Partial matches: The facility in your list matched on some, but not all the criteria you provided. For example maybe the Worldly ID and address match, but the company name that was provided doesn't match. We'll provide you with a list of potential matches to choose from based on the information you provided in your list. If you don't see a good option listed you can search manually or track as No Account.
- Red X icon - No match: we were unable to locate an existing account with the information provided. This could be because the facility needs to create an account. You can search manually or track as No Account.
Use the toggle to filter between different match types:
Select which accounts to add and which entries to Track as No Account. This allows you to preview and confirm the accuracy of account matches before adding them.
Records that have No Matches will show as marked with a red x mark. These are accounts with no match found in the platform based on the CSV upload. To resolve this, you can either search directly or add these by selecting Track as No Account.
Once you confirm or add accounts you can view their status on the Network page.
Network - Requesting Data
The Network page allows you to manage your facility list and request that they create a Worldly account, purchase a subscription, and share their data with you.
- On the Network page you can search or filter your list using the filters on the left hand side to locate the facilities you wish to send a request
- The Status column will show you the facilities current status. If the facility was tracked as No Account and there is a contact email address, you can send a request that they create a Worldly account and purchase a subscription by clicking the Request icon. If the facility has an account but does not yet have an FDM subscription you can click Request to send them an email requesting that they purchase a subscription. If the facility has an account and subscription but is not yet sharing their data with you yet, you can click Request to send them an email requesting to share. If the facility is sharing their data with you you'll see the status Sharing. You can learn more about all Statuses that are available in this help article: Facility Data Manager: General Overview
Exporting Reduction Targets
Exporting reduction target data from FDM supports better facility oversight and strategic decision-making across supply chains.
This feature allows brands and retailers to gain insight into:
- Which facilities have set reduction targets
- How these facilities are progressing towards the target
- Where to focus to meet larger decarbonization targets
On the table, select the check box next to the factories you would like to take a closer look at. For example, in the example below, the selected factories are located in the United States.
Once you’ve selected the factories, a black navigation bar appears at the top of the table. Click on Download to reveal the Data Downloads pop-out menu.
Click the blue CSV hyperlink next to FDM Targets to download the file.
The CSV file contains columns that mirror the fields available in the Set Target form of FDM. For example, fields such as Target Area, Facility Type, and Source can be found in both the CSV file and on the platform.

Campaigns
Campaigns are action-oriented engagement vehicles designed to drive facilities to a specific outcome.
The Campaigns table enables users to build, edit, and optimize their own facility engagement funnels through dynamic email campaigns. By leveraging FDM campaigns, brand customers can drive their supply chain to action no matter where the facility is in its sustainability journey.
Campaigns - How to Create a New Campaign
Click +Campaign on the Campaigns page
Select which assessment your campaign will be tracking.
Campaigns - Automated Emails
Every email type is sent in 30 day intervals, as long as the facility recipient is in the applicable account status. For example, a facility will only receive the Create Account email as long as they're in a No Account status, the Purchase Subscription email as long as they're in a No Subscription status, etc.
There are different automated emails to send out depending on the ultimate goal of the campaign:
-
Create Account: If a facility does not have an account and an email was provided then an email will be sent to create a Worldly account.
-
Purchase Subscription: If a facility has an account but has not purchased a subscription with FDM then an email will be sent with information on Worldly subscriptions.
-
Share FDM Data: If a facility has a subscription with FDM but has not started sharing with you then an email will be sent to accept your share request. This email will only be sent once at the Start date defined in the campaign settings.
-
Reminders to submit data: If a facility has not submitted data within x days then an email will be sent reminding them to submit data for that month until the required data is collected. This reminder template will be sent every 30 days from the Start date defined in the campaign settings.
FDM to FEM Outlier Detection
Both FEM and FEM require outlier detection before posting.
Please note that although FDM data imported to FEM is not checked during the transfer, FEM runs outlier detection on the imported data before the assessment is posted.
