Year-on-year outliers now detected for FEM energy and water values
To help prevent mistakes or errors in your reported environmental data, we are introducing a new feature to detect values that are significantly larger than the values in your last year’s report.
We will look at your individual source values (ex. coal, rainwater), as well as your facility’s total use in the Energy and Water sections to find outliers and/or mistakes. Please review all outliers before posting your assessment. If the values are correct, despite being significantly larger than last year’s values, we ask that you offer a comment explaining the change. (Ex. Was last year’s value incorrect? Did your facility ramp up production and energy consumption this year? Etc.)
