Why are some chemicals compliant for one customer, but not others?
- Each customer has their own compliance criteria.
- Most brands go by ZDCH InCheck Scope and ZDHC MRSL as compliance evaluation.
- Some brands also accept documents like GOTS which are not associated with ZDHC anymore.
- This will be automatically included as verified in your brand compliance pie chart.
- Some of you are InCheck subscribers and will get compliance data from ZDHC Gateway, too.
- Only ZDHC Member brands are allowed access to compliance data from ZDHC Gateway.
- Non-ZDHC member brands might see these as unverified.
- ACTION: upload compliance document to The BHive
Improving Compliance
Starting Point: You identify an unverified chemical
- Option 1: Contact the same chemical supplier to ask for certification information.
- If it is available: Upload on The BHive
- If none is available: ask for a substitute
- If no substitute available: Option 2
- Option 2: Contact another partnered chemical supplier for a substitute
- If no substitute available: Option 3
- Option 3: Look for positive list from standard holders (e.g., Scivera, Oeko-Tex, Bluesign, etc. or from chemical suppliers)
To help you track the process: Set up Corrective Action Plans on The BHive.
