The Role of ZDHC PID Numbers
What is the PID number?
It is a chemical product's identification number from ZDHC Gateway.
Since November 26th, 2024, you can now add this PID directly into your BHive CIL, which helps match your chemicals more accurately.
What role does the PID play in The BHive?
You are required to add your PID to your BHive CIL to match your chemicals when generating the ZDHC Performance In Check Report.
In addition, since January 1st, 2025, this has become a requirement for all ZDHC InCheck subscribers, meaning, you can only match chemicals to the Gateway via their PID.
What are the benefits of matching Gateway Chemicals by PID for the ZDHC Performance InCheck Report?
- Minimize Errors: Reduce the risk of using incorrect product information in InCheck reports.
- Streamline Processes: Simplify the process of locating and selecting the right product.
- Enhance Reporting Accuracy: Ensure accurate and reliable data for reporting.
You must download the new Excel template, the old template will not work anymore.
Find the correct PID Number
Option 1: Search for your product in ZDHC Gateway
- Just go to the product listing - the PID is shown right below the product name. It’s usually a string like “P123AB45”
Option 2: Ask your chemical supplier for ChemCheck reports
- The PID is clearly listed at the top of these reports
Option 3: Connect your chemical supplier direct with BHive Team
- If you’re not sure who to contact, you can reach out to the BHive team. We can help you connect directly with your supplier.
These options give you everything you need to add the PID correctly and ensure your chemical is matched in the Gateway.
Search Your Product in the ZDHC Gateway
- Visit https://www.my-aip.com/ZDHCLogin/Login
- Sign in to your ZDHC Gateway account
- Type in the Chemical Product Name in the search bar
- Find the ZDHC PID in the product overview
This is especially important if you're using the Excel upload to add chemicals to your inventory.
First, make sure you download the new Excel template. The PID field has now been added to column D in the new version. You'll enter the ZDHC PID for each chemical there.
Why is this important? Once the PID is added, the system will prioritize matching your chemical with the verified product in the ZDHC gateway. This helps reduce errors, ensures accurate reporting, and saves time in the matching process.
Methods to Add PID Numbers to your CIL
The PID is integrated into the different Input Methods:
-
Mobile app & Search function:
- Search for chemical products by PID.
- In the app, you'll be able to search for chemical products using the PID directly, making it easier and faster to match your products on the go.
-
Transfer from previous inventories & My ChemStore:
- If the PID is available in one of your previous inventories, you will be able to transfer this information to the next month.
-
Excel file:
- The PID is integrated in the Excel upload flow for new chemical products.
- A new field for the PID has been added to the Excel upload template. Make sure you use the updated version. The old one won't support PIDs and will result in upload errors.
