Common Mistakes
CIL Upload
- Select the correct month: Always upload for the previous month (note that the month needs to be completed in order for you to be able to add the consumption information!)
-
Select the right chemicals: Make sure to select chemicals from The BHive database to get the correct name and compliance information, e.g. by using the ZDHC PID to search for chemicals, or checking your spelling or the chemical manufacturer name.
If you use the Excel upload or Database Search, a (G) behind the database name indicates if this chemical name is registered in ZDHC Gateway. - Select the right General Usage category: Upload all chemicals in use and in stock - but make sure to categorize them correctly. Since not all chemicals need to be evaluated within the ZDHC Scope (e.g. Commodity chemicals), categorizing your chemicals correctly has a big impact on your compliance performance.
Creating InCheck
- Create InCheck for the right month: You create the InCheck report for the month of the CIL (e.g. May CIL May InCheck report)
- Deadline for InCheck: ZDHC poses a 41-day-restriction - if you do not complete your InCheck report within 41 days after the end of the month, we cannot support you to create the report
- Active InCheck subscription: Make sure your InCheck subscription is active to activate the “Create InCheck Report” button in your monthly CIL
- Select the right chemicals: double check if the chemical you are matching is ”registered by: ZDHC Gateway” - only then you will get the Gateway compliance & level information.
