About the Program
What is the Worldly Platform Experts Program (WPEP)?
The Worldly Platform Experts Program is a credentialing program designed to help facility professionals build deep expertise in Worldly's platform. The first badge available in the program is for Facility Environmental Tools— the Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM), Facility Data Manager (FDM), and Insights Hub. Participants complete a blended curriculum of e-learning, live training sessions, and a final assessment to earn the Worldly Platform Expert – Facility Environmental Tools badge. Additional badges are coming soon.
Who is the program for?
The program is open to any Worldly customer, but the Facility Environmental Tools badge is specifically designed for facility users who work with Worldly's environmental measurement tools. If your role involves completing, managing, or supporting Higg FEM assessments, FDM data submissions, or using Insights Hub as a facility, this program is built for you.
Is the program suitable for beginners?
Yes — the program is designed to meet you where you are. The curriculum starts with foundational topics like a Worldly platform orientation and GHG Protocol basics before moving into the tools themselves, so no prior experience with Higg FEM, FDM, or Insights Hub is required. If you are newer to sustainability reporting or the Worldly platform, this is a great place to begin building your expertise in a structured, supported way.
Is the training held in person?
The program is primarily delivered online — including self-paced e-learning and live virtual sessions — so you can participate from anywhere. Occasionally, Worldly also offers in-person training opportunities at industry events such as the Cascale Member Meeting and other forums. When available, these in-person sessions may count toward program requirements. Keep an eye on Worldly's training calendar and biweekly customer newsletter for announcements about upcoming in-person opportunities.
What is coming next for the program?
The current program focuses on Facility Environmental Tools (Higg FEM, FDM, and Insights Hub). Additional versions of the program covering other tools, including Higg FSLM, are planned or in active development. Subscribe for updates here.
Cost and Enrollment
What do I get from WPEP that I can't get from the free courses?
The free e-learning courses and live sessions on Worldly's learning center are available to all customers and cover the same curriculum included in WPEP. So what does the $99 get you?
A recognized credential. The program culminates in a 40-question final assessment. Pass with 80% or higher and you earn the Worldly Platform Expert – Facility Environmental Tools badge — a credential you can display professionally to demonstrate your expertise to colleagues, brands, and auditors.
A structured learning path. Rather than navigating the course library on your own, WPEP gives you a defined curriculum with a clear finish line. Your progress is tracked in one place and sequenced to build your knowledge progressively.
Direct access to Worldly experts. WPEP participants get ongoing access to Worldly staff for guidance, support, and strategy — beyond what’s available through standard facility subscriptions. This includes expert-led sessions and invite-only workshops designed exclusively for program participants.
A professional community. WPEP connects you with other facility professionals navigating the same challenges, through cohort sessions, invite-only workshops, and Worldly’s growing participant network. As the program expands, participants will also receive early and special access to in-person regional events hosted by Worldly.
Early access to what’s next. WPEP participants are first in line for new platform features — including Worldly Community and additional badge tracks and programming currently in development.
In short: the free courses give you the knowledge. WPEP gives you the knowledge, the proof, the support, and the community.
How much does it cost to enroll?
Enrollment is a one-time fee of $99. This is not a subscription — you pay once and it covers the full program: all e-learning courses, access to instructor-led training sessions, the final assessment, and your badge upon completion. Some customers may have a discount or complimentary enrollment code — check with your account contact if you believe this applies to you.
Do I have to pay separately for courses, live sessions, or the badge?
No. All of Worldly's e-learning courses and live training sessions are available free of charge to all customers — including every course in the WPEP curriculum. The $99 program enrollment adds access to the final knowledge assessment required to earn the badge, and direct ongoing access to Worldly staff for guidance and support.
How do I pay? Is it included in my Worldly subscription or membership invoice?
The program fee is separate from any Worldly subscription. Payment is processed securely via credit card at the time of enrollment on the learning platform. International credit cards are accepted — there are no known regional restrictions, so participants anywhere in the world can enroll directly.
If your organization wants to enroll multiple people at once, please contact us at support@worldly.io and we can arrange invoicing and bulk enrollment on your behalf.
How do I enroll?
Visit learn.worldly.io to review the full curriculum and enroll. Payment is completed directly on the learning platform. If you have a discount or access code, you can apply it at checkout.
Can I enroll as an individual consultant or sole trader?
Yes. Enrollment requires a Worldly user account, which can be created independently — you do not need to be enrolled under a company's Worldly account. Individuals including consultants, NGO staff, and academics can create a personal account and enroll directly.
The Worldly Platform Expert badge belongs to you as an individual, not to a company or facility. Whether you enroll personally or through an employer, the credential is yours and travels with you professionally.
Curriculum and Time commitment
Does the $99 fee cover the full program, or only specific modules?
The $99 enrollment covers the complete program — all e-learning courses across all topics, all instructor-led training sessions, and the final assessment. There are no additional fees to access specific sections. The program covers the full suite of Worldly facility environmental tools, with Higg FEM as a major component.
What does the curriculum include?
The curriculum covers the following areas:
- General: Worldly platform orientation
- Sustainability topics: GHG Protocol Scopes 1, 2 & 3; GHG + regulatory compliance; Supply Chain Taxonomy
- Facility Data Manager (FDM): 3 courses — getting started, targets & baselines, and FDM validation
- Higg FEM: 5 courses covering getting started, results & verification, how to verify, CSV data downloads, and FEM 4.0 updates — plus 7 FEM 4.0 section trainings co-led with Cascale (Energy & GHG, Chemicals, Waste, EMS, Wastewater, Air Emissions, Site Info & Permits)
- Insights Hub: Getting started for facilities
- 2 instructor-led training sessions (see below)
- Final program assessment
Note: If you have already completed some of these courses, you do not need to repeat them. The system automatically recognizes your prior completions.
How long does the program take to complete?
The program is self-paced, so completion time varies by learner. Most participants can expect to invest roughly 10–20 hours across e-learning and live sessions, depending on existing familiarity with the tools. All e-learning videos can be watched at your preferred speed.
We recommend spacing your learning across several weeks rather than completing everything at once — the curriculum covers a lot of ground, and pacing yourself supports retention. There is no deadline to finish.
Is there a limit on how many times I can watch course videos?
No — there is no limit to how many times you can watch e-learning videos or revisit course content. You can return to any course material at any time throughout your enrollment.
What are the instructor-led training sessions, and how do I access them?
For badge attainment you must complete any 2 additional sessions of your choice from the following:
- WPEP Office Hours — invite-only live Q&A and group discussion with Worldly experts and program peers
- Facility Environmental Tools sessions — product updates or deep dives on Higg FEM, FDM, or Insights Hub
- Higg FEM Q&A with Cascale — monthly opportunity to ask Cascale's experts questions about the Higg FEM assessment
Sessions are listed in the curriculum in the learning platform, and on Worldly's public training calendar. Worldly also sends a biweekly newsletter to all customers with upcoming session dates — make sure you're subscribed.
Past sessions are available as recordings with a short quiz. Completing the quiz fulfills the attendance requirement — you do not need to attend live.
Assessment and Badge
Is there a quiz or test involved?
Yes. Each e-learning course includes its own completion requirement as you progress. The full program concludes with a final assessment of 40 questions in formats including true/false, multiple choice, and select-all-that-apply. There are no written response questions. A passing score of 80% is required to earn your badge.
How is the badge awarded?
The Worldly Platform Expert – Facility Environmental Tools badge is awarded upon full program completion: all e-learning courses, the 3 required instructor-led sessions, and a passing score on the final assessment. You'll receive individual completion certificates for each course as you progress through the curriculum.
How long is the certification valid?
The badge is valid for 2 years from the date it is awarded. Renewal will be required after that period. Because the program launched recently, renewal pricing has not yet been finalized — our intent is to offer a renewal option rather than requiring a full re-purchase for participants who maintain continuous certification. We'll share more details as the program matures.
How can I share or display my badge?
Your badge can be displayed on your email signature and is recognized on the Worldly website. Stay tuned for updates on digital badge sharing and external verification options.
Language and Accessibility
What languages is the program available in?
The program curriculum is fully supported in English. E-learning course videos currently include translated subtitles in:
- Simplified Chinese
- Italian
- Vietnamese
- Turkish
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Japanese
- Spanish
We are actively working to fully translate all written on-screen course content into these languages as well — this is a work in progress.
Live and recorded sessions include auto-translated captions via Zoom, with occasional live interpretation depending on the session.
Note: The final assessment is administered in English only, in alignment with Higg FEM submission requirements, which are conducted in English.
Ongoing Access and Support
Is there a deadline to complete the program?
There is no time limit to complete the program. However, the curriculum is updated annually to reflect yearly Higg FEM updates and platform changes. When new content is released, updated courses replace prior versions — in most cases this affects one course in the curriculum. We'll communicate any curriculum changes in advance so you know what to expect.
What support do I get as a WPEP participant?
Enrollment gives you direct ongoing access to Worldly staff for guidance and support — beyond what's available through standard facility subscriptions. Participants also get early access to new platform features, including community tools and future program developments.
