The following instructions explain how to configure an offline alternative template. There are two types of offline alternative templates, CAP and General. These templates are used to record audit/assessment findings.
Navigation
Begin by navigating to Configurators and select Offline Alternative Configurator.
Note: Ensure the permission for “Save Assessment to Excel/Print to Local File” is checked for offline alternative users. This is the most direct way to download the CAP offline alternative.

There are two tabs on the Offline Alternative Configurator:
Configure Offline Alternative Fields
There are three tabs on this page:

CAP Offline Alternative Fields: The CAP Offline Alternative Fields templates are used to export and import CAP updates or audit updates for a specific, pre-existing audit instance. General Offline Alternative Fields templates are used to import complete audit/assessment findings. When selected, both options display a list of existing Offline Alternative Fields templates.

Create New Offline Alternative
To create a new offline alternative field:
- By default the General Offline Alternative Field is selected. If you want to create a CAP Offline Alternative Field, toggle the slider.
- Enter the Offline Alternative Name, which is a required field. The Password field is optional.
Below the Configure Offline Alternative Fields section is where you can configure the columns and fields of the Offline Alternative template.
- Column Name: View the name of the column
- Select All Include in Offline Alternative: Check the corresponding box in this column to include it in the Offline Alternative. Check the box in the column header to include all columns.
- Select All Editable in Offline Alternative which are Included: Check the corresponding box in this column to include it in the Offline Alternative. Check the box in the column header to make all the available fields editable.
- Sort Order: Use the arrows to change the order of the columns in the Offline Alternative.
- Pick Color: Use the dropdown to select a color.
- Column Width: Use the arrows to change the width of the column.
After you’re finished configuring the Offline Alternative template, select Save at the bottom of the page.
Configuring an Offline Alternative
After creating a new Offline Alternative template, you can do the following on the CAP Offline Alternative Fields table.
- Configure security role accessibility options
- This reveals the Configure Report Options window, where you can choose the Access Status of the security role.
- This reveals the Configure Report Options window, where you can choose the Access Status of the security role.
- Create a duplicate
- Edit the template
- Delete the template
